LIBRARY OF HOPE
A PRAYER REQUEST. A MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY. AN ETERNAL INVESTMENT.
Library of Hope is all of the above; it is the "brain child" of a former colleague at Prison Fellowship and good friend, Mel Goebel. Many prisons have no library at all and much that is available to inmates is not good reading (a major understatement!)
Library of Hope is an effort to provide a library of good reading to inmates in the Inner Change Freedom Initiative Prisons currently run by Prison Fellowship in five states. Books can be shipped to Colorado where they are sorted and sent to the prisons. Books are separated by topic to insure that duplicates are spread around.
Through the years of our marriage, Don has collected quite a library and has decided to donate them to Library of Hope. Currently I have been able to box up less than half of the books and presently there are 16 boxes!! Some are small and some are in medium boxes, and I am still sorting and packing.
A PRAYER REQUEST:
Will you please join us in praying the God will provide the necessary funds to ship these boxes to Library of Hope?
A MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY:
If you would like to participate in this, you may make a donation to Encourager Ministries, Inc. for the purpose of mailing/shipping these boxes. We will use the least expensive method of transport.
AN ETERNAL INVESTMENT.
Good books are often the means by which good seeds are planted in the hearts of men and women. As we pray for those who read the books, we know that God will work in their lives. You may also have some books you would like to send to Library of Hope or make financial contribution directly to them.
