6/23/2005 - How Time Flies!

GOOD MORNING!

I have no idea how time can move so quickly, but it sure does. Last weekend I was in Houston, Texas to speak at a Ladies Night Out (my title, not theirs). There was close to 150 in attendance, and we had prayed for souls. Of course, the enemy was busy, too. Apparently lightning struck a transformer in south Texas, creating a chain reaction and resulting in a loss of power. We had no lights, no air conditioning and the battery powered microphone had a short in it! My voice would suddenly boom out and then disappear, so I laid it down and allowed God to carry my voice.

There were several friends present and they prayed, and God moved in the harts of two women who prayed to receive Christ as Savior. Many others were ministered to and encouraged by God's faithfulness. Praise the Lord!

This afternoon I am leaving to go to Salt Lake City for our annual family reunion. You may recall some months back when I asked you to pray for my sister-in-law Kathy Petet. After the removal of her right lung and chemotherapy she seemed to be doing very well. Recently, the doctors discovered two small spots on her brain; please keep her and my brother Don in your prayers.

In this past month Jodi and I have been working on "THE BOOK"; after some critique by various people, we are still making corrections. There are also people working to design the cover and add some photos. Today we have a conference call to arrange for a printer! We are almost at the end of the road!! Praise the Lord! When it is printed and ready for distribution, you will be able to order it directly from this web site.

Don and I hope you are having a great summer. He has had some particularly good days lately; he has ventured out on some errands and has even attended our Growth Group meeting. He does not have a doctor's appointment until September, but the doctor is very gracious to accept his call whenever Don needs an appointment sooner.

Recently Don has been eating lots of watermelon; and we have had some very good sweet ones this Spring. The peaches are also plentiful and we enjoy those, too. I must run some errands so will write again when I return from the Family Reunion. Until then, we pray that God Bless You and make His face shine on you.

With Love and Prayers, marykay and Don
