5/27/2005 - PRAYER AND PRAISE REPORT

O MY SOUL, AND ALL THAT IS WITHIN ME, PRAISE THE LORD."  I want you to know the truth of the power of prayer, because you have had a part in the last few days. Don and I thank you, and we too are rejoicing.

In the course of four days, Eloise had gone from being independent to being unable to feed herself. On Tuesday, May 24, when we went to the doctor's office, we packed a bag for the hospital, and the doctor admitted her immediately. Her very special friend, Frances Wynn went with Eloise and I drove. He did not really expect her to leave the hospital; he said, "She is in very serious condition."

An I.V. was started and various other tests were ordered. She was given medications through the I.V.  The hospital staff thought that if she lived she would need to be transferred to a skilled nursing facility. Today, Friday, May 27, 2005, Eloise feeds herself, walks with a walker down the hall, and within a couple of days, she will return to her assisted care living quarters! She has responded positively to her medicines and although she will be 92 in October, she has rallied beyond any degree that was ever anticipated.

God's Word says, "The fervent prayer of the righteous availed much," and indeed HE is proven right again. Your fervent, concentrated prayer has lifted her from her sickbed. She has repeatedly expressed thankfulness, and often says, "I am so blessed".

If your prayers seem pointless at time, or you are so weary that you can scarcely pray, remember that is the time to call on friends and loved ones. It is the concentrated, focused prayer of God's people that result in such miraculous answers. We love you and consider it a privilege to pray. Thank you for your faithfulness and PRAISE HIM whose name is FAITHFUL!
