Dear Family and Friends,
Yesterday I took Don to see his doctor; he had been coughing a good bit and at first it was a dry, unproductive cough. However, 2 or 3 days earlier, Don began to have a good bit of congestion in his lungs. Dr. Cohen ordered blood tests and an x-ray of his lungs. The results of those tests are very encouraging.
Don does have pneumonia, but no other symptoms, e.g. fever, infection, etc.
His blood tests indicated there was a slight increase in his hematacrit, and any small increase is better than a decrease. In addition, his kidneys are continuing to do very well. The BUN and creatinine levels are about the same.
Don does still have significant anemia, which at times makes him nauseated, but overall he is feeling very encouraged by this report. Further, Dr. Cohen said, "I don't think you need to be on hospice; you are not in a critical stage at this time."
We are fully aware that much of the "credit" is simply a result of your faithful prayers and we thank you with all our hearts. We praise God for each of you and pray that HE will bless you abundantly...
By HIS Grace,
