CELLBLOCK, A CHRISTIAN VOLUNTEER

This has been a good year for Cellblock. Last year he had surgery on both his back legs, but he has finally recovered from that and is returning to his more active lifestyle.

Cellblock is busy several hours a day chasing squirrels and chipmunks from the bird feeders. Since the weather is warm again, he stays outside as much as possible. However, when it gets really hot in the afternoon, he comes in and lays on the cool hardwood floor in te living room, under the ceiling fan. He is now 8 years old, so he is officially a senior citizen.

 Earlier this year, Cellblock accompanied Don to Ketona, a retirement home for low income and indigent people. Cellblock was a regular "Volunteer" on the men's ward, and would visit 6 to 8 men each week to cheer them up. He does a very good job and was a welcome visitor by both residents and staff.
